IHI’s Carbon Emission Commitment

IHI provide various solutions through its cutting-edge technologies
towards the realization of a carbon-free and recycling society.

The average idling time seeking for a parking space in Bangkok is approximately 15 minutes per day, tallying up to a total of 90 hours a year*.
By utilizing IHI’s Automated Parking Systems, the average daily time idle time can be reduced to 5 minutes per day, or 30 hours per year*.
This results in a total reduction of approximately 50 tons of CO2 annually*. IHI is continuing to supply more eco-friendly, sustainable urban solutions to our customers.

IHI turbo compressor has an excellent energy units and can be sized to a wide variety of models according to the air requirement and pressure required by the customer, By consolidating multiple based load units to a single unit, an optimal model can be selected.
It’s dual control system that combines constant pressure control with inlet guide vane (IGV) and load/no load control at a predetermined pressure width. Thus, enabling energy-saving and stable line pressure control by responding to fluctuations in the amount of air consumed at the plant.
In case 4 unit of 170kW oil-free compressors are replaced to 1 unit of TRE60-600kW, 575t of CO2 can be reduced annually.

IHI has raised the liquid ammonia co-firing ratio on a 2,000-kilowatt-class gas turbine to a 70% on a calorific basis and had attained 100% liquid ammonia-fueled firing with this technology, aiming to overcome operational stability challenges and suppress nitrogen oxide and other harmful components in emissions with a view to commercializing a fully ammonia-fired gas turbine by 2025.
IHI continue to contribute to the realization of a CO2-free and sound-cycle society through this technology.
